Job description


As an Information Technology Intern / Co-op at Honeywell Aerospace, you will gain hands-on experience working on real business and technology initiatives that support the future of aerospace. Through the University Relations and Innovation Hub program experience, you will collaborate with IT professionals, business partners, and cross-functional teams to help solve meaningful business challenges through technology, process improvement, data, automation, and digital transformation.
This internship is designed to provide exposure to how a global technology organization operates while giving students the opportunity to contribute to projects that improve productivity, simplify processes, strengthen operations, and enable better decision-making. You will learn from experienced mentors and leaders, participate in program activities, and build foundational skills that prepare you for future career opportunities in IT and digital transformation.
In this role, you will bring curiosity, a fresh perspective, analytical thinking, and a willingness to learn. Your work may include supporting project delivery, documenting business or technical processes, analyzing data, building simple prototypes, improving workflows, helping teams understand requirements, and contributing to digital solutions that support Honeywell Aerospace priorities.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Support real-world IT and digital transformation projects that align with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs, define requirements, and help deliver solutions.
  • Assist with process mapping, documentation, project tracking, testing, data review, and communication materials.
  • Contribute to innovation projects, prototypes, automation opportunities, analytics, dashboards, or other solution-enablement activities.
  • Help identify inefficiencies, improvement opportunities, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Participate in project meetings, learning sessions, program events, and mentorships
  • Support change management, adoption, and training activities for processes and tools.
  • Learn how enterprise systems, data, applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business processes connect across a global aerospace organization.
  • Apply basic security, data governance, and responsible technology practices while working in project or test environments.
  • Build professional skills in communication, collaboration, problem solving, project execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in technology, digital transformation, innovation, automation, data, systems, or business process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage with mentors, peers, and business stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to learn, take on new challenges, and contribute to meaningful project outcomes.

Program Experience
As part of the University Relations and Innovation Hub experience, interns and co-ops may have opportunities to participate in learning sessions, networking events, mentorship, leadership exposure, and project showcases. The program is designed to help students build practical technical, business, and professional skills while contributing to work that matters.
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
