Job description

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is actively seeking a driven and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in the vibrant Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. What You’ll Be Doing:
You'll play a key role in a variety of exciting geotechnical and construction-related projects, including:

  • Field and lab work related to earthwork, foundation, and construction materials testing
  • Managing subsurface investigations (borings, test pits), and analyzing logs, lab data, and site plans
  • Performing engineering calculations such as bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, slope stability, and pavement section design
  • Writing and preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports
  • Retaining wall and foundation design
  • Slope stability analysis and pavement design
  • Project management and client engagement

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus
  • EIT/FE certification strongly preferred; PE license is a plus
  • 5–10 years of relevant geotechnical and construction observation experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with AutoCAD or CADD is a bonus
