Job Summary:
Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a software engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to perform software engineering functions for training simulation and analytical simulation projects. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of innovative technologies, doctrine, policies, and prototype projects that will expand the capabilities for the Navy at large.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Work on interesting and challenging software projects such as Modeling and simulation of seabed to space capabilities.
โ€ข Game-based training systems.
โ€ข User interface design & implementation.
โ€ข Use analytical and problem-solving skills to program in modern programming languages and operating system environments.
โ€ข Implement cutting edge technologies such as voice recognition, artificial intelligence, data mining, and the latest techniques in modeling and simulation.
โ€ข Participate in all areas of the software development lifecycle from planning through test and sustainment.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible to receive an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science or related technical degree.
โ€ข 10+ years of recent software application development experience.
โ€ข Experience with at least one modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., C#, Java, and/or C++).
Preferred:
โ€ข Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance
