About the role

Reworld is a global leader in providing sustainable waste solutions. The company's modern facilities convert waste from municipalities and businesses into clean, renewable electricity. In addition, through a vast network of treatment and recycling facilities, Reworld specializes in waste to energy ("WTE"), a vital component of the modern waste stream that diverts waste from landfills and therefore avoids significant greenhouse gas emissions.
As a Reworld intern, you will work on projects that have a real impact on sustainability. Students with a genuine interest in developing a career in renewable energy, sustainability, and waste to energy technology are encouraged to apply!
What You'll Do:
  • Safety compliance tracking and documentation control
  • Assist with VPP recertification
  • Support Safety Procedure requirements including medical surveillance and hearing conservation
  • Assist with new hire safety orientation and required monthly safety training
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and help track action items
  • Trend near miss and behavior based safety data using our safety data management system (Ideagen)

Who You Are:
  • Positive, motivated self-starter who can take an assignment and run with it.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline.

About Reworld's Internship Program:
During your internship, you can expect to:
  • Work with industry experts and gain valuable knowledge, develop new skills, and establish a network of mentors and business contacts.
  • Learn all about Waste to Energy operations at the company.
  • Participate in leadership talks, skill building workshops, facility tours, and networking events.

Pay Transparency
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $35,600.00 - $47,300.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
