Job Schedule:ย 9/80:ย Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday offย ย ย 

Job Description:

The Systems Engineer Summer Intern will support the planning, analysis, design, testing, and evaluation of complex systems and system architectures. This role offers hands-on experience working with engineering teams to develop operational concepts, test strategies, implementation plans, and technical presentations. The intern will gain exposure to the full systems engineering lifecycle while contributing to technical problem-solving and customer-focused engineering efforts.ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  • Perform operational analysis and developย concept of operations,ย designย and implementation plansย 
  • Develop test plans, proceduresย &ย casesย 
  • Conduct tests and document resultsย ย 
  • Use software tools,ย scriptingย and software/hardware troubleshootingย 
  • Analyze systems requirements from end systemsย and usersย 
  • Supports development and evaluation of complex system designs and architecturesย 
  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customersย 

Qualifications:ย ย 

  • To be eligible, candidate's must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field at an accredited university.ย ย ย 

Preferred Skills:ย 

  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/orย model-basedย systems engineeringย 
  • Familiar with Rhapsodyย ย ย
