Position Overview:

Devon's Accountingand TaxInternshipsand Co-Opsprovide students with the opportunity to learn and apply accounting and tax principles in a professional office environment.Studentsparticipatein both team and individual assignments, gaining exposure to real-world accounting tasks and projects. This program is designed to help students develop technical and professional skills while exploring potential career opportunitiesatDevon.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties typically assigned to entry-level accountants.

  • Apply general accounting and tax concepts to daily,monthly, and quarterlyassignments.

  • Prepare and post journal entries;assistwith general ledger reconciliations and account analysis.

  • Assistwith the preparation, review, and distribution of financial statements, management reports, and/or tax returns.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and helpidentifyopportunities for increased efficiency.

  • Participate in diversified on-the-job assignments to enhance technical skills.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with various departments.

  • Present findings and learnings to team members and/ormanagement.

Technical Exposure:

  • Exposure toaccounting software and tools.

  • Application of automation processes and LEAN principles in daily work.

  • Application of technical skillsacquiredin college to real-world scenarios.

Education

  • Full-time student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance,Businessor related disciplines.

  • College level: Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
