Job description

Mayvin is seeking a Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) Software Development SME to support USSOCOM at Ft. Bragg, NC. This role is responsible for leading requirements development, guiding technology investments, ensuring rigorous testing and integration, and serves as the primary liaison between stakeholders and technology performers. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong stakeholder engagement skills to drive delivery of mission-focused software capabilities.

Must be a U.S. citizen.Must have an active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead identification, validation, and prioritization of TAK software requirements; conduct annual reviews to ensure mission alignment
  • Perform internal and external market research to identify emerging technologies and capability gaps; inform software spend planning and investment strategy
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on technical trends, operational needs, and budget constraints
  • Partner with PMOs to develop and execute testing and evaluation plans; ensure capabilities meet quality, safety, performance, and mission standards
  • Support test events, data analysis, and validation to inform acquisition decisions
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across government and industry to accelerate development and fielding
  • Ensure seamless integration and interoperability with existing systems, joint partners, U.S. Government agencies, and international allies
  • Serve as primary liaison to development teams, resolve technical challenges, and oversee milestones to ensure timely, successful delivery

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree with a minimum 12 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading software development efforts within a defense, government, or mission-focused environment
  • Strong understanding of requirements development, systems integration, and interoperability standards
  • Experience supporting testing and evaluation activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting TAK or tactical software ecosystems
  • Familiarity with DoWย acquisition processes and portfolio management
  • Knowledge of joint and interagency interoperability frameworks
