An exciting leadership opportunity is available for a Senior Land Development Project Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering complex civil/site projects throughout the Baltimore-Washington region.
This is more than a project management role-it's an opportunity to drive strategy, mentor teams, and build lasting client partnerships while shaping communities through high-profile land development and urban redevelopment projects.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of large-scale, complex land development projects from concept through construction. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead high-performing teams, and contribute to the continued growth of a dynamic, multidisciplinary practice.
What You'll Do
  • Lead with impact - Manage civil/site development projects from planning and design through permitting, construction, and closeout
  • Drive performance - Oversee scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality across multiple concurrent projects
  • Own client relationships - Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted partner across public and private sector clients
  • Mentor and inspire - Guide and develop engineers at all levels while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
  • Ensure technical excellence - Review plans, reports, and specifications for quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Navigate complex approvals - Lead permitting efforts and engage with agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders

  • Stay technically engaged - Provide direction in site design, grading, stormwater, utilities, and permitting

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in MD, DC, or VA (or ability to obtain)
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in land development engineering
  • Proven track record leading projects, managing teams, and building client relationships
  • Strong knowledge of regional permitting processes (MD/DC/VA)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
