Please note: Internships are offered in person at our Little Rock and Jonesboro locations, and remote opportunities are not available. Internships are for Spring 2027 and later.

General Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in all firm software utilized by all team members

  • Apply accounting and assurance regulations (GAAP, GAAS, SSARS, etc)

  • Perform research and document well supported conclusions

  • Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Seek professional development opportunities

Tax

  • Effectively apply tax knowledge to prepare simple individual, trust, partnership, and corporation federal and state tax returns

  • Assist in compiling tax financial data, preparing adjusting journal entries for business tax returns, and ensuring tax returns are complete and accurate

  • Assist with inquiries from regulatory agencies and tax notices and tax examinations

  • Assist with tax planning and projections

  • Conduct simple tax research

Audit

  • Demonstrate basic technical knowledge of professional standards and related updates

  • Assist in performing detailed audit procedures on financial statement account balances, preparing and adjusting workpapers from clients’ trial balance

  • Identifying potential management letter comments

  • Assisting in the drafting of financial statements, including footnote disclosures

CAS

  • Assist in compiling financial data, preparing journal entries, general ledgers, and ensuring all financial reports and statements are complete and accurate

  • Understand the impact transactions have on general ledger accounts

  • Able to post journal entries to correct general ledger accounts and record activity

  • Bachelor of accounting or similar degree in progress
