Purpose: Provide support for and improvements to the cold end host system and associated MMI programs. Assist with other improvement projects or issue resolution in the cold end as required.


Essential Functions:



  • Monitor and maintain hardware used to run and display wareroom host programs.

  • Assess hardware viability and manage obsolescence replacements and upgrades as necessary.

  • Troubleshoot issues that arise from the host line control program

  • Manage and communicate changes to the host line control programs and MMI

  • Develop changes (bug fixes and improvements) in the host line control programs keeping in mind performance, scalability, reliability, security and cost.

  • Develop and maintain the ability to see historical data from the host and associated PLCs for troubleshooting or improvement purposes

  • Configure, maintain and troubleshoot communications between line PLCs, host line control software and data retention software.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot and improve interfaces with external systems (ERS, FIS etc)

  • Ability to accurately assess customer needs and translate them into innovative solutions

  • Proactively provide solutions to operator and leadership team issues

  • Provide support and troubleshooting to AGNA sites as needed

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to provide support to other AGNA and Solar facilities

  • Ability to keep multiple projects moving forward and organized via source code version control

  • Programming changes must be portable and common between AGNA lines.

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, test plans, and user manuals.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams (e.g., software, hardware, electrical) to ensure system compatibility and integration.

  • Stay up to date with the latest systems engineering methodologies and technologies

  • Rollout improvements across all AGNA lines as applicable.

Qualifications Required:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent technical experience) is required.

  • Programming experience with C, Visual Basic .NET, PostGreSQL, SQL, PERL, Linux (Fedora Server Edition), PLC Communication protocols, Basic HTML

  • Familiarity with Rockwell Studio 5000

  • Ability to understand customer requirements and translate those into innovative solutions

  • Proficiency in MS office, MS Teams, Sharepoint and

  • Experience in line control, automation and MMI
