Job description

Engineering Intern

We are looking for an Engineering (Technical) Intern to help our Grand Prairie, TX site with 3D printing!

The Engineering Intern will be working with closely with the Business Unit Manager to work on shot peening robots including design and execution.

Location: Grand Prairie, TX

Salary: $18-$21/hour

Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in TX. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge

  • Operate and maintain a 3D Printer

  • Learn casting techniques and manufacture tooling

  • Identify opportunities for masking/general improvements

  • Create SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings

  • Support machine improvements, troubleshooting, & repairs

  • Research and procure materials from vendors

  • Potentially travel to facilities for on-site work

What You Bring

  • Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering student in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of studies

  • CAD Modeling Experience (ideally SolidWorks)

  • 3D Printing Experience (using Simplify3d software)

  • Design & Build Experience (i.e. Robot team, Catapult Team, HPVC Team, or personal projects)
