A Software Developer Marine designs, develops, tests, and maintains software solutions specifically for marine applications. This can include navigation systems, ship automation, marine communication, and monitoring systems used on ships, submarines, and offshore platforms. They often work closely with marine engineers and naval architects to ensure that the software meets the unique requirements and regulatory standards of the maritime industry.
