RCI Off Road is a leading manufacturer of high-quality aftermarket accessories for trucks and SUVs. From durable skid plates to custom bumpers and rock sliders, we design and build products that help adventurers conquer the toughest terrains. Based in our state-of-the-art facility in Loveland, CO, our passion for precision engineering and commitment to quality fuels everything we do.  As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience while contributing directly to the development of products in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing documentation to support production and assembly.
  • Review part assemblies to verify vehicle fitment, revision status, and manufacturability.
  • Support manufacturing staff and develop processes for collecting production data. 
  • Participate in hands-on product validation and performance testing.
  • Support the full product lifecycle, including design, prototyping, testing, documentation, and release.
  • Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing staff to deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in product design and development.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding processes 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with prototyping, product testing, or validation.
  • Familiarity with automotive systems and components.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar)
