  • Design, develop, and maintain proprietary applications supporting portfolio construction, trading, investment compliance, and related investment workflows.
  • Build scalable, resilient, and high-performance distributed systems using modern software engineering practices.
  • Develop APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions that integrate with internal and external platforms.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and establish best practices for software design, reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Drive continuous improvement of development standards, code quality, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Work directly with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Compliance teams, and other investment professionals to understand business requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, and prioritization discussions.
  • Serve as a trusted technology partner to business stakeholders, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

Production Support & Operations
  • Monitor and support production applications critical to daily investment operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems and data platforms.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical end-of-day and trading-related processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to improve platform stability and reliability.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience building enterprise applications.
  • Strong expertise in: .NET Core / .NET, C#, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures
  • Experience designing and implementing microservices-based systems.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, NServiceBus and similar messaging platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, distributed systems, and system integration.
  • Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact directly with business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within asset management, hedge funds, investment management, capital markets, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of portfolio management, order management, trading workflows, investment compliance, performance measurement, or risk management.
  • Experience developing front-end applications using Blazor.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and distributed application architectures.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with market data, security master, portfolio accounting, and investment analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications in a front-office environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI-assisted software development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
