SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
JOB SUMMARY
Mid-level developer responsible for designing, coding, testing, maintaining, and upgrading proprietary software applications based on company requirements. Provide technical expertise for technical application issues, performance and uptime, end-user usability, best practice code standards, and application security practices. Ensure proper architecture so that program code meets best standards and practices. This position exercises discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Build, design, and maintain software applications and websites.
  • Understand UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
  • Identify, assess, and solve Tier 3 end-user technical issues.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues, managers, and Application Support daily while minimizing direct communication with end-users.
  • Execute assignments with the use of Full Stack Development using web applications, web services, scripts, SQL query language, APIs, and programming languages.
  • Develop and validate test routines to ensure the quality of the external and internal interface.
  • Adhere to standard Software Development Life Cycle practices including use of code repositories, change/release management, environment segregation (Development, Test, and Production.)
  • Evaluate written code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all devices.
  • Continually maintain professional skillset of new and changing software development tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
  • Develop and maintain necessary technical documentation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related. An equivalent demonstrated on-the-job experience in combination with related certifications and/or on-the-job experience is acceptable. (Preferred Certifications: MCAD, MCPD)
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in related, 2 years with ASP.NET Webforms.
  • Strong expertise in Full Stack Development and related technologies including C#, HTML, CSS, .NET, JavaScript, and APIs.
  • Solid understanding of and proficient with server operating systems, web server and client configuration, software development tools, networking, cloud technologies, web browsers, and end-user devices.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Proficiency with documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
  • Foundational Cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Expertise with implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
