Internship Duration: 6 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role

Prompt Engineering & Iterative Refinement with AI-assistances. Will work closely with senior engineers to strengthen enterprise security and gain hands-on experience in identity, authentication, and cryptography.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy on-prem AI infrastructure - including GPU clusters, model serving (e.g., vLLM, TGI, Triton).
  • High proficiency in modern AI-assisted IDEs and platforms like Cursor.
  • Developing, coding, and debugging software tools using various programming languages and technologies, often focusing on areas C++, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Designing and implementing storage test tools tailored to specific needs, including software design, library, and user facing APIs.
  • Assist in the lifecycle management of RSA keys, ECC keys, and X.509 digital certificates.
  • Research emerging cryptographic standards and security best practices.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of cryptography, PKI concepts, and security protocols (SSL/TLS).
  • Familiarity with RSA/ECC key pairs and hashing algorithms.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) or cloud KMS (Key Management Services)
  • Hands-on exposure to certificate management workflows (issuance, revocation, renewal, validation) in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with certificate formats (PEM, DER, PFX/PKCS#12) and certificate extensions (SAN, Key Usage, Extended Key Usage).
  • Exposure to security standards and frameworks such as NIST SP 800-57, RFC 5280, or FIPS 140-2/3.
  • Knowledge of automation tools ( Jenkins, Bamboo ) for infrastructure-as-code and certificate lifecycle automation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly.

COMPENSATION: $35/hr - $45/hr
