Company Description Shoreline Structural Engineering and Consulting is a structural engineering firm based in Westlake, FL, focused on providing reliable, practical solutions for a variety of residential, commercial, and coastal projects. Role Description The Engineer Intern will support structural engineers with analysis, design, and documentation for existing buildings and structures. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with calculations, preparing drawings and sketches, reviewing plans and specifications, and helping prepare technical reports and project documentation. The intern will also participate in site visits, field observations, and coordination with architects, contractors, and other consultants as needed. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Westlake, FL, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. The position offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of structural engineering principles, including statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis.
  • Proficiency with engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD or Revit, and familiarity with structural analysis tools is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, building codes, and technical specifications.
