Job Description

We are currently seeking a Document Controller to support a variety of active transportation and infrastructure projects across Ontario.

Are you passionate about organization, precision, and supporting complex infrastructure projects behind the scenes? Join Egis Canada as a Document Controller and take on a vital role in ensuring our project teams have the accurate, up-to-date information they need to succeed. Working closely with engineers, contract administrators, and project stakeholders, you’ll manage the flow of technical documentation across multiple platforms and disciplines.

This role offers the opportunity to build deep familiarity with engineering documentation standards and tools while supporting major infrastructure initiatives. You’ll be a key contributor to project efficiency, compliance, and success—making your attention to detail and process management skills essential.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of document control, including registration, uploading, transmitting, and tracking of technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all document data in line with internal procedures and quality standards.
  • Manage the flow of documentation within the organization and between external project stakeholders.
  • Retrieve and distribute files as needed by team members across multiple disciplines.
  • Develop and manage electronic workflows to streamline document submissions and approvals.
  • Monitor document quality and proactively manage any discrepancies or process issues.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on project documentation status and deliverables.
  • Perform other administrative and project support tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • University degree or College diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting engineering or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in document control processes, with a strong understanding of quality and compliance standards.
  • Experience with collaborative software tools such as SharePoint, ProjectWise, Aconex, Unifier, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and a focus on process improvement.
