Job description

ALMACO in Nevada, IA is seeking entry level Mechanical Engineer or Senior Designer who want to work on a small team, to support peak work load.



This position is a temporary, 60 day position, with the opportunity for extension. It has flexible day-shift hours, 30-40 hours per week. Work can be done on-site at ALMACO headquarters in Nevada, IA or off-site but some on-site hours will be necessary

  • n:Prepare and maintain accurate Bills of Material and manufacturing process specifications using ERP system
  • s.Collaborate with Engineers and cross-functional teams to create or modify detailed designs using SolidWork
  • s.Prepare clear, concise, and accurate documentation required by fabrication and assembly work centers to efficiently manufacture designs using SolidWorks drawings, SoildWorks Composer, and Microsoft PPT/Word/Excel where appropriat
  • e.Collaborate with production employees to resolve issues with designs, drawings and assembly instructions to achieve quality and build time goal
  • s.Assist with generation of cost estimates to design and manufacture new products for internal and external clients that meet unique requirement
