Job Description

Hadoop development and related [Horton] technology stack.

 Experience with Hive, HBase, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, Oozie and MapReduce on Hortonworks
* ELT/ETL development in Hadoop experience including working with custom code or ETL toolsets.
* Experience in designing and troubleshooting HBase, Pig and Hive queries and performance
* Experience designing HBase databases and tables.
* Java development experience and software development experience.
* Excellent aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.
* Experience and knowledge of Linux
* Hadoop configuration, understanding and troubleshooting preferred,
* Experience with Cloud providers preferred
* Demonstrated ability to design, test, and deploy Hadoop applications

Qualifications

* BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in Hadoop and related technology stack
* Strong software development or scripting skills
* Prior experience in Java/Java EE
* Data Modeling, Data Governance, Metadata and Master Data Management experience
* Demonstrable problem solving and debugging skills required
* Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills
