Job description

Hiring: Senior GitLab Platform Administrator (DevOps / CI-CD) 

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite – 3 to 5 Days/Week)
Preference: Local Candidates
Duration: Long-Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior GitLab Platform Administrator to support and enhance enterprise DevOps and CI/CD platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GitLab administration, automation, infrastructure as code, and enterprise-scale CI/CD implementations.

Required Skills

✔ 8+ years of administration experience with complex applications and tools
✔ Strong Software Configuration Management (SCM) expertise
✔ Hands-on experience with GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, and SonarQube
✔ Experience with Terraform and Ansible
✔ Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms
✔ Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud)
✔ Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
✔ Experience managing GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scale
✔ Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practices
  • Provision and manage GitLab infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
  • Implement GitOps practices and automation frameworks
  • Manage GitLab enterprise security (SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore)
  • Support application teams adopting GitLab best practices
  • Integrate monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
  • Implement compliance, security, and code quality controls
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD and migration-related issues
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation
  • Develop documentation, runbooks, and reusable pipeline templates
Preferred Qualifications

⭐ GitLab Certified Administrator
⭐ Recent GitLab Self-Managed administration experience
⭐ Build management, configuration management, or quality testing background
⭐ Experience with Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
⭐ BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
