Job Summary
This position has the responsibility to coordinate and support the admissions plan and enrollment process attracting highly qualified adult and graduate students to Union University.

Essential Job Duties
  • Possess thorough knowledge of all adult and graduate programs to advise prospective students on degree options and accurately guide them through the admissions process.
  • Coordinate and support all activities related to the enrollment process including recruitment of highly qualified applicants at the local, state, and national level.
  • Correspond with prospective students by letter, email, text, and phone call to answer program level questions and to give appropriate steps for interested students to apply to their respective program.
  • Evaluate transcripts and any additional criteria (GPA, resume, etc.) of potential students in order to determine the qualifications needed for admission into the program in conjunction with program directors, includes marking, stamping, and sending transcripts to the Academic Center.
  • Calculate GPAs, if needed, for each application file submitted to Graduate Admissions as needed and directed.
  • Process applications, transcripts, and all mail for the Graduate Admissions office which includes maintaining clean organized files on each applicant and correctly entering information in Colleague.
  • Create, maintain, and update all student files (electronic) as needed using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and SoftDocs.
  • Collect and process all deposits, if applicable, for each applicant required to take courses or be guaranteed a place in the cohort to which they are applying.
  • Assist and support in the implementation and ongoing comprehensive Graduate Admissions marketing and recruitment plan, incorporating technology in marketing and recruitment plans and enrollment processes where applicable; Assist in the development and updating of recruitment materials.
  • Demonstrate effective organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information about prospective applicants, including the maintenance of related reports.
  • Assist in the creation of weekly reports concerning inquiries and enrollment.
  • Collect and analyze trends in admission data to support marketing and recruitment plans and enrollment processes for Graduate Admissions.
  • Configure and maintain program applications within enrollment management systems for Jackson, Germantown, and Hendersonville campuses as well as online, and update each application per academic year and cohort; Maintain relationships with enrollment management systems providers to resolve any issues that may arise with the program.
  • Collaborate with coordinators/program offices concerning applicant approvals; send decision letters (acceptance, denial, and provisional letters) to each applicant.
  • Coordinate with financial aid to identify support for students.
  • Create Union University ID numbers, profiles, program of study, and input transcripts into Colleague as needed.
  • Lead recruiting activities such as campus tours for prospective students, college fairs, virtual preview day events, community events, etc. and develop a calendar of events.
  • Manage automated recruitment campaigns in Slate.
  • Advise students for their first semester and assist with course registration, handle drops/withdrawals as needed.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the dean as needed.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree and related experience. This position requires excellent organizational and technological skills, a willingness to travel for recruitment if needed, and the physical ability to carry marketing materials, including print materials, banners, and folding tables.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree.
