General Statement of Duties Under the supervision of the Softball Director and Parks and Recreation Department, the Assistant Softball Director assists with the organization, instruction, and supervision of the Fall Softball Clinic. The Assistant Director helps create a positive and safe environment while supporting participants in developing softball skills and sportsmanship. PROGRAM INFORMATION Program Schedule: Saturdays, once per week Season Length: 8 weeks Estimated Hours: 3-6 hours per week Must be available for full duration of program Qualifications Softball coaching and/or instructional experience preferred.

Must have, or be willing to update/obtain, CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. (Training may be provided through the Parks and Recreation Department.). Must be at least 18 years of age and must pass a background check

Job Description Assists the Softball Director with planning and implementing clinic activities, drills, and instruction. Provides direct coaching and instruction in softball fundamentals, including throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, and base running. Demonstrates drills and assist with participant skill development.

Helps supervise participants and ensures a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Promotes teamwork, respect, and good sportsmanship. Assists with equipment setup before each session and cleanup afterward.

Maintains familiarity with participant emergency information and assists in responding to emergencies as needed. Follows all Town and Parks and Recreation Department policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Softball Director or Parks and Recreation Department.
