|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Registered Social Worker (RSW) license, relevant degree | Degree in social work, licensure varies by region |
| Work Environment | Community agencies, healthcare, schools | Hospitals, clinics, government agencies |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Used interchangeably in many regions, RSW indicates licensure | General term for licensed social work professionals |
The main difference is that a Social Work Rsw is a licensed social worker with specific registration, often emphasizing licensure status, while 'Social Worker' is a broader term that may include both licensed and unlicensed professionals depending on the region. Both roles work in similar environments and require comparable credentials, but the Rsw designation highlights licensure status.
