Job description

Job Details:Job Description:

The Opportunity

Intel is at a pivotal inflection point. As we reclaim leadership in x86, accelerate our AI silicon roadmap and leadership presence, and scale the world's first Systems Foundry for the AI era, our brand must move as fast and intelligently as our engineering - and we must speak to multiple audiences like customers, developers, influencers, and employees through multiple channels like traditional social media apps and AI chatbots. We are hiring a Director of Global Social Media and Community to build and lead Intel's next generation social capability. This role moves Intel from a traditional broadcast model to a bold, community first and predictive posture -one that listens, learns, communicates, and leads in real time. This leader will architect a global Hub and Spoke organization that integrates brand narrative, technical community engagement, developer marketing, social intelligence, and AI led intelligence gathering, content development and orchestration. The role is equal parts brand steward, community builder, intelligence operator, content creator, AI influencer, and executive advisor.
Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership and Narrative Architecture
  • Brand Posture and Evolution: Translate Intel's positive posture and enterprise brand narrative into a multi channel global social strategy that resonates with key audiences including but not limited to developers, gamers, enterprise buyers, influencers, investors, and AI chatbots, themselves. Become the architect of the global omni-channel editorial engine, that creates a comprehensive social calendar comprised of major product launches, corporate announcements, and marketing campaigns, with always-on cultural moments.
  • Hub and Spoke Governance: Define global standards, playbooks, KPIs, and operating models (the Hub) while empowering Intel Regional teams and agencies (the Spokes) to deliver culturally and technically relevant content at scale. Ensure the global operations of the new social media and community charter are inherent in regional models through a well governed ecosystem of in-house and agency resources.
  • Executive Partnership: Serve as a senior advisor to marketing, communications, and corporate leadership on brand momentum, narrative risk, and opportunity.
  • Builder Mindset: Ready to come in, evaluate the current state, and build a modern, justified function from the ground up with a clear ROI for every dollar spent.

Predictive Presence and Social Intelligence

  • Sentiment to Strategy: Transform social listening into a predictive intelligence function, surfacing real time insights on market momentum, competitive posture, technical community insights and emerging narratives.
  • Digital Activation Center: Partner on a rapid response capability that combines human judgement and AI driven workflows to identify and respond to brand, technical, or competitive discourse in minutes - not hours.
  • Competitive Narrative Management: Confidently shape conversations related to x86 relevance, AI performance, compatibility, and Intel's differentiated systems approach.
  • Critical Relationships Management: Create and nurture relationships with technical subject matter experts within (and outside) Intel that brings relevant expertise, perspective and voice well integrated into workflows for optimal speed and quality.

Community and Technical Engagement

  • Community-First Engagement: Build a world class global community management function that goes beyond support to active participation and leadership across traditional social apps, developer forums, Reddit, Discord, and Generative AI with their supporting LLMs and downstream applications.
  • Developer-First Presence: Expand Intel's presence where builders live (e.g., GitHub, Hugging Face, Discord, Stack Overflow), delivering technical utility - resources, education, and access - not just marketing messages.
  • Advocacy Programs: Develop scalable advocacy and insider programs for developers, creators, and researchers to drive authentic third-party validation and long term affinity.

AI Native Content and Operations

  • AI-Powered Orchestration: Partner with Growth and Operations to integrate generative and agentic AI into the social content supply chain - enabling hyper personalized, high velocity storytelling.
  • Editorial Excellence: Own a global editorial framework that balances major launches across Intel's product groups and Foundry with always on engagement.
  • Strategic Content Insertion: Drive Intel and Advocate messaging and engagement into online channels which are preferred training sources of LLMs that feed Conversational AI.
  • Influencer and Creator Strategy: Re imagine Intel's relationships with creators, developers/champions, and influencers to build credibility, reach, and cultural relevance.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Reach widely across global marketing and communications, sales and business unit teams to determine approach, effectiveness and operational excellence.
  • AI and Tech Literacy: Hands-on experience with generative AI and marketing orchestration tools; strong understanding of x86 and AI workloads.

Enterprise Storytelling

  • Narrative Leadership: Translate Intel's positive posture and new brand narrative into a multi-channel social strategy that resonates with key audiences such as developers, gamers, enterprise buyers, analysts and investors.
  • Data-Backed Storytelling: Use performance data, benchmarks, and real world proof points to support Intel's leadership narratives across platforms.
  • Innovation Prioritization: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the evolving SEO/GEO/AEO space to effectively capitalize on insights and trends for content and community optimization.
  • Creative and Analytical Balance: A track record of award-winning storytelling paired with the expert-level ability to use data to justify investment and pivot strategies.
