This role is integral to our Detox Center, where you will utilize your skills in providing high-quality psychosocial support and mental health services to individuals grappling with substance use issues. This position offers a competitive annual salary between USD 120,000 and 130,000.

The work setting is primarily focused on telehealth practices, ensuring accessibility to those in need of mental health services, especially those facing substance abuse challenges.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ needs, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and client feedback.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to support recovery from substance use.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists, to foster a holistic treatment approach for clients.
• Document treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports accurately and in accordance with department standards, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between clients and community organizations to facilitate additional support services, including housing, employment, and educational resources.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss client cases, share insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the treatment process.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques and intervention strategies to ensure client safety and well-being.

Our ideal candidate will engage with clients primarily suffering from substance use disorders. As a social worker in the Detox Center, you will work with individuals facing various challenges in their recovery journey, focusing on both immediate needs and long-term recovery goals. You will also provide essential support to families affected by substance abuse, facilitating family therapy sessions to improve the support structure for our clients.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current California state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners.
• At least two years of experience in providing mental health services in a related health or clinical setting is essential.
• Commitment to continuing education to stay current with best practices and evolving methodologies in social work and mental health.
• Familiarity with Department of Mental Health billing procedures and documentation requirements is highly desirable.
• Experience in parent-child interventions and an understanding of child development are beneficial for addressing the needs of diverse client families.
• A comprehensive knowledge of parenting, child abuse, and neglect issues will enhance service delivery and client advocacy.

• Experience working within a detox or substance abuse treatment facility.
• Skills in crisis intervention and resolution strategies tailored to those at risk.
• Proven track record of enhancing patient engagement and retention through effective communication and relationship-building skills.
