Strong writing skills and a deep knowledge of soccer are essential for this role.

What does a soccer writer do?

A soccer writer creates articles and other written content about the sport of soccer for print or digital publications. Your duties may vary depending on where you work. You can write for one outlet or work with different sites, blogs, or magazines on a freelance basis. A soccer writer can attend games or media events, interview soccer players, and provide analysis for their readers. If you work for digital publications, your responsibilities can include recording audio and video or taking photos in addition to writing text. A soccer writer can also create promotional content for a venue, team, or competition.
