Job description

Who Are We:Soccer Shots East County San Diego, LLC, is a team of passionate individuals who are world changers bringing social-emotional skill development to children aged 18 months to 10 years old through the game of soccer. The high-quality and high-energy soccer classes run weekly throughout East and South San Diego. We proudly serve and partner with Preschools, Elementary Schools, and Public Parks, serving thousands of families every week.
Summary:Soccer Shots East County San Diego, LLC, is seeking energetic and responsible individuals who enjoy working with children and share a passion for soccer. Whether you are looking for a career in Early Childhood Education, marketing, or business operations, a flexible part-time job, Soccer Shots provides ample growth opportunities. This position requires adaptability, creativity, and responsibility, as you manage classes of children while implementing a curriculum and upholding safety standards. This role is active: constantly engaging with children through games, demonstrations, and overall play. Our coaches meet their students where they are, making connections and creating lifelong memories.
Responsibilities:
  • Coach 10 - 20 classes a week, dependent on availability
  • Attend monthly coaching meetings and training sessions
  • Ability to follow and execute a predesigned curriculum, adapting to children's needs
  • Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and early childhood education techniques
  • Uphold and follow all safety standards while children are in care
  • Communicate with families, caregivers, and teachers

Requirements:
  • Ability to run, play, and joyfully engage with children
  • Lift and transport sports equipment (approx. 40 pounds)
  • Driver's License and car, willing to drive to classes all over San Diego
  • Available at least two days Wednesdays and Thursdays preferred and Saturdays are required
  • 1-year commitment
  • Proof of a TB test within the past 2 years from the date of hire OR proof of a negative TB test within 2 weeks after date of hire
  • Ability to provide a cleared fingerprint background check

Pay and Benefits:
  • $18-22.50/hr for head coaching shifts, dependent on prior experience and education
  • Mileage reimbursement at the federal IRS Mileage Rate
