Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a security professional to support a growing red team function with overlap into SOC engineering and SIEM support. This role will execute offensive security activities, support security tooling, and contribute to detection and remediation efforts. The team is shifting toward an offensive security focus, while valuing some infrastructure background in the near term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in red team and offensive security engagements to test systems and identify vulnerabilities.
  • Support SOC engineering activities, including security event ingestion and SIEM platform support.
  • Work with security tools and platforms used for threat detection, testing, and remediation.
  • Assist with penetration testing and related security assessment activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to document findings and support remediation efforts after testing engagements.
  • Utilize ticketing systems and coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with red team operations, offensive security, or penetration testing.
  • Familiarity with tools like Kali Linux or other red team frameworks.
  • Experience supporting SOC environments and SIEM platforms.
  • Understanding of security event ingestion and monitoring.
  • Python or coding experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware experience.
  • Familiarity with NetWitness and/or Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Experience with tools such as Veracode, Tenable, or Horizon3 AI.
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls.

Work Environment
