Job Description Soap Operator - Stanley, WIThis is a full-time, hourly position (7pm-7am Monday-Wednesday).Job Summary- Under limited supervision, performs various duties on the production floor. The duties may vary by day and hour, may vary based on assignment. Duties may include but are not limited to the following: mixing operations, dryer operations and process trouble shooting.Essential Job FunctionsResponsibilities to include:Adhere to all safety, quality and GMP requirements of the plantBasic knowledge and duties of general plant upkeep such as painting, cleaning, floor careSome of the duties below pertain to either food side, soap side or bothAssembles equipment for startup of dryers, mixers, tanks, pumps, blenders and milling equipment for both food side and soap side dryersAbides to all metal detector, screen and magnet check policiesPulls product samples following guidelines preventing contamination, and test samplesProvides accurate and timely completion of daily production paperworkProperly follow product recipes and mixing proceduresInsures measures are in place and abides to safe allergen proceduresKeeps production area clean according to current GMP policiesAble to operate pumps, valves and controls of dryers, mixers, vats, and holding tanksProvides startup of honey, molasses dryers and/or soap dryersProvides moisture, granulation, and color testing of finished productOperates forklifts, and scissor liftsPerforms end of week wash and sanitationKnowledge of boiler and steam systemKnowledge of plant waste water systemPump off tankers of honey, molasses, or soap slurryTrain potential operatorsOther duties as assigned by managementSome of the job duties are specific to food side dryers onlyEducation/Training - High School Diploma or GEDExperience - Entry Level PositionSpecial SkillsCommunication SkillsDocumentation Skills Working ConditionsHumidity: 90% to 30%Due to the wide variety of tasks, this job can be exposed to a variety of environmental conditionsSpecial Hazards: mechanical, electrical, chemicalWork overtime as necessary, including some weekendsProtective Clothing Required: Hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, chemical and rain suitsPhysical RequirementsFrequently move up to 50 lbs.SitStandMove from area to areaRemove refuse from grounds and department floorsTransport raw materials & chemicals to equipment from storage areasPosition self to conduct work at various heightsRotate bodyOperate forklifts and scissors liftsAscend/descend from various levelsAdjust valves and dials as instructedRepetitive use of handsADM requires the successful completion of a background check. REF:108586BR Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
