Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
• Leverage AI Solutions: Leverage AI-powered features, such as natural language queries, automated insights and prompts, in BI platforms to accelerate report creation and deliver actionable business insights.
• Dashboard Development: Build reports and dashboards in Power BI, Databricks and similar tools, that provide operational visibility and provide data-driven business decisions.
• Collaborative Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify reporting and data needs that align with strategic goals and objectives.
• Agile Project Execution: Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives. Break down work into manageable deliverables aligned with business priorities.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate insights, progress, and blockers clearly and regularly with cross-functional partners.
• Data Governance & Security: Follow best practices for role-based access, data privacy, and report-level security.
• Modeling Support: Contribute to the design of semantic models and datasets that are performant, reusable, and easy to understand.
• Documentation: Help maintain documentation for models, metrics definitions, and reporting processes to ensure shared understanding.
• Self-Service Support: Assist in enabling business users through clear documentation, curated datasets, and support for self-service reporting environments.
• Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve issues or data inconsistencies using structured investigation.
• Continuous Learning: Actively grow your BI tool expertise and share learnings with the team and cross-functional partners.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Years of Experience: 3+ years of experience in BI development, data analytics, or data visualization roles.
• BI Tool Expertise: Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Able to build interactive dashboards and maintain datasets.
• SQL: Working knowledge of SQL (joins, filters, aggregations, basic CTEs).
• Data Modeling: Familiarity with dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schema) and semantic layers.
• Cloud & Data Platforms: Experience with cloud environments such as Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks for data transformation and modeling.
• Agile Experience: Experience working within Agile development processes, including participating in sprint planning, reviews, and backlog grooming.
• Storytelling & Insight Delivery: Ability to interpret trends and communicate basic insights to stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: Demonstrates a growing understanding of business processes and how analytics influence decisions.

Preferred:
• Experience with Azure DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps for managing workflows, integrating with Power BI, and streamlining project pipelines.
• Version Control – Git: Exposure to using Git for source control, versioning, and collaboration on BI or analytics assets.
• Knowledge of Power Automate: Ability to use Power Automate to enhance reporting processes by automating repetitive tasks and improving data workflows within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Data Governance Tools: Familiarity with tools like Databricks Unity Catalog or Azure Purview for managing data governance, lineage, and quality across the organization’s data assets.
• Custom Visuals in Power BI: Experience creating or implementing custom visuals in Power BI to deliver more tailored and impactful reports.
