The Strategic Event Technology Manager, is an integral part of the Strategic Events team who will partner across the organization with internal teams within Marketing, such as Product, Industry and Partner Marketing, Sales, Corporate Marketing, Field Marketing as well as agencies to deliver best in class event execution for our customers and partners. This role will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage all event operations from pre-event planning and production and post-event follow-up for Snowflake hosted events. This highly motivated and extremely organized candidate must have experience supporting a team that plans complex in-person events. This person will need to work effectively within a small team and operate strategically across the business.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Tool Ownership: Lead the scoping and implementation of event technology tools, including Registration, Call for Papers (CFP), Exhibitor/Content Resource Centers, Curated Agendas, Meeting Tools, Nominations, and Mobile Applications.
  • Onsite Execution: Oversee onsite technology management, including check-in kiosks, meeting tracking, lead retrieval, and session scanning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders to define technology needs and communicate project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop robust QA protocols and contingency plans to ensure seamless execution.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with and manage multiple technology vendors to ensure high performance and integration.
  • Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to improve event technology processes, tools, and the overall attendee experience.
  • Project Leadership: Drive weekly event tech workstream meetings, maintaining detailed workback plans and budget tracking.
  • Data Analytics: Take a data-driven approach to evaluating event effectiveness and ROI.
  • Culture & Energy: Bring a creative, positive energy to the team, building relationships that help drive the business forward.
  • Travel: Ability to travel nationally and internationally (including weekends and stays of up to one week) to support highly strategic events.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience delivering and executing on operations for 10,000+ person events
  • 6+ years experience supporting teams delivering large scale first party events in B2B
  • Day to day management of event technology budgets, agency management, and key internal stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation, written, and verbal
  • Customer service experience and demonstrating a solution-oriented approach
  • Proven success in executing multiple events at a time and using both internal and external resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in-house at a large, highly visible technology company
  • Experience in RainFocus, Bizzabo, ShowUp, Eventbase, and Braindate
  • Motivated self-starter with a bias for action and who thrives on working in complex and challenging environments of a rapidly evolving business
  • Excellent project management skills, analytical ability, both creative and strategic thinking
  • Excels at cross-group collaboration, communication and problem solving
  • Effective written and verbal communication

This role is hybrid requiring 3 days a week in a Snowflake office.
