Job description

We are looking for several individuals that want to spend there work days in there own office working outside working a lawn care route within a 25 mile radius of Monticello.

  • We will provide the equipment and vehicle depending on position
  • Must be reliable and able to work a long shift.
  • This position will work year round if the candidate is willing to work with snow removal shoveling or has experience in a plow truck.
  • This position will start as a part time position
  • Lawn Care Worker Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use mowers, weed eaters, and common hand tools to trim grass, edge lawn areas, and maintain nearby plants and foliage
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, maintaining energy and pace along with the team
  • Operate leaf blowers and gather grass and hedge trimmings for removal
  • Drive a truck to various client locations and ensure proper storage of equipment during transport

Lawn Care Worker Requirements and Qualifications

  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Able to lift upwards of 50 pounds and bend, lift, and stand for extended periods
  • Familiarity with common landscaping equipment
  • Prior experience or work in lawn maintenance (preferred but willing to train right person)
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • DOT health card or able to obtain one at company expense
  • Able to drive a company truck with a trailer and equipment

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Snow Removal:

  • Work to assure quality and timely completion of snow and ice removal on sidewalks and walkways on assigned properties
  • Operate snow removal equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
  • Apply ice melt according to product and company guidelines.
  • Identify problems at the work site and follow through appropriately.
  • Communicate constructively with customers and supervisor.
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and secure work environment for employees and customers at all times.
  • Report any repairs or maintenance requirements needed on equipment to supervisor.
  • Be able to complete same removal route each time.

Minimum Qualifications For Snow Removal:

  • Must be 16 years-of-age or older for summer and 18 or over during winter months.
  • have a positive attitude, patience, and good follow-through skills.
  • willing and able to work with deicing materials.
  • Must be willing and able to work long hours and overtime during a snow storm including holidays, weekends, etc.
  • You must have reliable transportation with a valid drivers license and insurance.
  • Must be available day or night when we get 1.5 inches of snow or more
  • Must use own vehicle.
  • DOT health card if driving company vehicle in not we will pay for a DOT exam
