Job description

The Logan Snack Shack Associate will contribute to the mission, vision, and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by operating the JCC Logan Campus concession stand and creating a high quality customer service environment for patrons of Logan Campus with standards of excellence.
  1. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  2. Welcome guests who approach the concession stand and respond to all customer inquiries in a professional, friendly manner
  3. Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items using appropriate quantities of ingredients, being sure to follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and presentation
  4. Operate point-of-sale system, completing cash, credit card, and member account payment transactions in a timely and efficient manner
  5. Ensure that all received cash is well-accounted for, stored in a safe area, and balanced during each shift change
  6. Participate in the set-up of concession stand, arranging inventory of supplies and communicating shortages to supervisor
  7. Perform ongoing clean-up duties during each shift and ensure that concession stand is sanitized and tidied up at the end of each shift
  8. Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold
  9. Clean and maintain food preparation equipment including grills and ovens on a regular basis
  10. Be familiar with and enact emergency protocols and other policies to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all members and guests, referring problems to appropriate staff as needed
  11. Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and lay leaders as part of the JCC team, including attending staff meetings as needed
  12. Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies
  13. Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
The ideal candidate has very good communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to follow directions and work as part of a team. Must have the ability to relate in positive manner with members and fellow staff while providing exceptional customer service at all times. The ability to handle physical activities, stand and walk for long periods of time and lift weight in excess of 50 pounds is required. Accuracy with money and change is extremely important. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
