Position Summary

The cart driver or snack shack attendant is responsible for offering our guest the highest levels of service and product knowledge. The attendant must be enthusiastic about the position and maintain a positive attitude toward both the guest and other staff members of the hotel. The attendant is responsible for an in depth knowledge of all food and beverages offered by the hotel and an adherence to the service sequence as outlined by the Biltmore Standards of Operations (BSOP’s).


Responsibilities

  • Assist the guests with beverages through the whole game at least every 45minutes.
  • See guests twice on the front nine and twice on the back nine holes.
  • Operate the beverage cart.
  • Maintain and provide accurate par list.
  • Knowledge of rules of the golf course game.
  • Maintain cart clean.
  • Have knowledge of all holes of the Golf Course.
  • Consistent adherence to policies and procedures of The Biltmore as outlined in the BSOP’s.
  • Assist co-workers in the performance of their responsibilities when necessary.
  • Maintenance of the highest levels of sanitation and safety in the workplace.
  • Knowledge of location and requisitioning of all necessary products and supplies.
  • Knowledge of bar and dining area seating charts.
  • Complete familiarity with liquor and wine selection, pricing and preparation.
  • Complete familiarity with all menu item preparations and presentation.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to proper I.D procedures.
  • Adherence to service standards as outlined in BSOP’s.
  • Immediate notification of a manager in the event of a problem, or the perception of a problem.
  • Filling out requisition form for next day product delivery
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum one years’ experience in fast paced guest food service environment.

  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
  • Use, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
  • Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
  • Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems. Most work tasks are performed indoors.
