About Snack Innovations

Snack Innovations is a fast-growing consumer packaged goods company with a passion for better-for-you snacking and the parent brand behind Drizzilicious, Natural Endurance, Smart Fries, and Sunday Snacks. Operating as both a private label manufacturer and direct-to-consumer snack brand innovator, we’re rapidly expanding and looking for driven, entrepreneurial people to grow with us.

We need someone who can take immature systems and transform them into fully professional processes. We are looking for builders and doers who thrive in agile, entrepreneurial environments and are comfortable creating structure where it does not yet exist. The ideal candidate has seen best-in-class operations and knows how to adapt that experience in a fast-moving setting.

Role Overview

The Production Manager is responsible for leading all day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable production of high-quality products. This position oversees daily production activities, production personnel, and manufacturing performance while ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, customer, and regulatory requirements.

The Production Manager plays a critical role in maintaining efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring production schedules are met, resources are effectively utilized, and employees have the tools and support needed to produce safe, high-quality products every day.

Core Responsibilities
  • Production Operations: Lead all daily production operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Direct production supervisors and manufacturing personnel while promoting accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Production Scheduling: Ensure production schedules are achieved while maximizing labor utilization, equipment performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Operational Performance: Monitor daily production performance and adjust staffing, scheduling, and workflow to meet operational objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate production priorities with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Shipping, Planning, and other departments.
  • Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), sanitation programs, allergen controls, and customer food safety requirements.
  • Safety & Quality Culture: Promote a culture where employee safety, food safety, product quality, and operational excellence remain top priorities.
  • Quality Partnership: Partner with department leaders to ensure quality control standards are met or exceeded.
  • Audit Support: Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve productivity, throughput, labor utilization, product quality, equipment efficiency, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Performance Metrics: Utilize production metrics and operational data to identify trends and implement process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and leverage positive cross-functional relationships to address identified issues and implement best practices that support current and future business requirements.
  • Corporate Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, Business, or a related field. Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment, with at least three years of production management experience required.
  • Experience within snack foods, better-for-you foods, bakery, cereal, extrusion, popped snack manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), sanitation programs, allergen control, and food safety management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing performance through continuous improvement initiatives and data-driven decision making.
  • Capable of excelling in a collaborative environment and leading cross-functional teams to achieve production objectives.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Superior analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and production reporting software.
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish)
