Job Title: SMT OperatorJob Description

The SMT Operator I plays a crucial role in supporting surface mount technology (SMT) manufacturing operations. This role involves setting up and tearing down SMT production lines and operating associated equipment such as SMT machines, printers, and reflow ovens. The operator must adhere to IPC standards, internal work instructions, and customer documentation while performing basic machine edits and in-process troubleshooting. Responsibilities also include archiving machine-generated production reports, conducting scheduled preventive maintenance on SMT equipment, and ensuring products are produced in compliance with IPC quality standards. Safety policies and procedures must be followed, and additional duties may be assigned by production leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and tear down SMT production lines and equipment.
  • Operate SMT machines, printers, and reflow ovens.
  • Review and follow IPC standards, internal work instructions, and customer documentation.
  • Perform basic machine edits and in-process troubleshooting.
  • Archive machine-generated production reports.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
  • Ensure product compliance with IPC quality standards.
