Members of the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator group are responsible for setup, operation and maintenance of SMT processes and equipment under guidance of the Production Supervisor.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate SMT equipment
  • Read process documentation and produce 1st pieces
  • Inspect work and identify quality issues
  • Perform hand component placement
  • Maintain equipment and complete documentation


Qualifications:

  • Computer literate and comfortable with equipment software
  • Able to stand and work on feet throughout the day
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Knowledge of J-STD/IPC standards
  • Knowledge of component identification and quality requirements


Experience:

  • 2+ years SMT, preferably with MyData equipment.
  • Certified IPC Specialist and/or proven ability to meet qualifications.
