Job Description
Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation used in health care delivery field. Also conduct a variety of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment
  • Ascertain equipment functions properly and safely
  • Reflow high level IC's
  • Troubleshoot and repair ultrasound systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair PCBs and power supplies
  • Process paperwork according to test results.Research new repair techniques
  • Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used
  • Calibrates test instruments according to specifications
  • Runs Diagnostics
  • Reads dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance, and capacitance
  • Diagnose system failures
  • Perform board-level system repairs
  • Perform component-level board repairs
  • Evaluate PCB, power supply, and system performance
  • Perform QA on repaired PCB's, power supplies, and systems
  • Replace defective components including SMD
  • Specify and source repair parts
  • Define and document repair processes
  • Document all testing and repair activities
  • Assist with ultrasound training as needed
  • Perform other related tasks as needed

Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a technical, electronics field or equivalent military training required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment
  • Complex computer skills including the ability to interpret error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies, and interpret computer codes required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications required
  • Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources
  • Frequently required to reach, pull, and/or employ fine motor skills during the installation, servicing, and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Frequently required to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, or otherwise maneuver body while servicing and/or inspecting medical equipment
  • Frequently required to operate tools/machinery that use hand and/or foot controls (e.g. drills, saws, electronic test equipment, etc.) when servicing medical equipment
  • Frequently required to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 pounds while working with medical equipment

Additional Information
Compensation : $15.00 Per Hour with Competitive Wage Structure Based On Experience
