Job Description
Pay Range: $19.31 - $24.13 / hour; based on experience
The Fit Pros at Chuze lead various high-intensity exercise classes and activities designed to improve participants' physical fitness and overall well-being. They are knowledgeable and courteous professionals dedicated to creating exceptional fitness experiences, which makes our classes a top choice for Chuze members.
Chuze Fitness is looking for Team Training Coaches to lead small group, coach-led training sessions that blend personal training attention with the energy of group fitness.
What is Team Training?
Team Training is a total body workout designed to be safe, effective, and fun for all levels. The workouts are high-intensity intervals and HR-based for the cardiovascular component. The daily focus of the programming generally varies between endurance, strength, power, or a combination of all. A typical 60-minute session is divided into training "blocks" of varying lengths. The cardio blocks generally consist of intervals on the incline trainer/rower that coincide with strength blocks performed on the floor with a variety of equipment. Members switch between the two modalities mid-session.
Each session includes:
  • Cardio interval training using treadmills, bikes, and rowers
  • Full-body strength training using a variety of equipment
  • Group energy and personal coaching from the trainer

What You'll Do:
  • Coach and lead Team Training sessions with confidence and energy; monitoring both cardio & strength components at the same time.
  • Provide hands-on form correction and individualized coaching in a group setting
  • Create an inclusive, motivating environment for all fitness levels
  • Represent the Chuze brand with professionalism and positivity

Availability Needs: Early mornings, mid-mornings, and evenings
What We're Looking For:
  • Background in personal training, strength coaching, or group training
  • Strong understanding of resistance training, interval training, and movement mechanics
  • Confident communicator who enjoys coaching in real time
  • Passion for helping people progress from session to session

Must have CPT certification from a recognized organization (NSCA, ACSM, NASM, ACE, ISSA, etc.)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Build a strong rapport and sense of community with members by maintaining a consistent coaching schedule and providing safe and motivating sessions for participants
  • Deliver classes within Chuze guidelines, arriving to each class with prepared with any necessary equipment and music with adherence to licensing agency requirements
  • Complete Chuze onboarding and training materials before teaching live sessions and maintain knowledge of updates
  • Maintain Chuze cleanliness standards during and after sessions and ensure gym presentation is always extraordinarily clean
  • Engage in the growth and development process by utilizing feedback received from the Fitness Manager through regular check-ins, training, and session evaluations
  • Participate in ongoing fitness industry education and maintain proof of current credentials
  • Maintain professional relationships through communication and teamwork with all Chuze staff to meet member and facility needs
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled Fitness department meetings and special promotional events to promote participation in Chuze Fitness offerings
  • Utilize the Fitness Communication Platform for essential department communications
