Job description
Pay Rate: $16.00 an hour with $2.00 an hour additional shift differential on swing and grave shift SUMMARY: Sell retail items, including alcohol and tobacco, to guests. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist guests with questions and purchases, while using proper cash-handling, credit card, Passport Club Points and Island Comps procedures
- Account for the overall accuracy of sales paperwork, including deposits, variances, and inventory system errors
- Order, receive, organize and manage merchandise and complete inventories
- Rotate stock to ensure product quality and freshness
- Communicate with warehouse staff and vendors regarding shipments
- Complete sales according to tobacco and alcohol policies
- Open and/or close retail store as applicable following department security and key standards
- Previous cash register experience
- Previous customer service experience
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Above average math skills
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
