A smoke shop job typically involves working in a retail store that sells tobacco products, smoking accessories, and sometimes vape products or CBD items. Employees assist customers by providing product information, handling sales transactions, and ensuring compliance with age restrictions and regulations. Other duties may include restocking inventory, maintaining cleanliness, and staying knowledgeable about smoking trends and laws. Strong customer service skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

What are the primary responsibilities of a smoke shop employee on a typical shift?

On a typical shift, smoke shop employees are responsible for assisting customers with product selection, processing sales through the POS system, and verifying customer age in compliance with local laws. Additional tasks often include restocking shelves, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and providing information about different tobacco or vape products. Team members also help track inventory and report any discrepancies to management. The role involves a mix of customer service, regulatory compliance, and store upkeep, making it essential to be reliable, attentive, and knowledgeable.
