Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lumber Order Puller to join our team. This role involves pulling lumber and millwork by hand from the warehouse for shipment, using an RF scanner to ensure accuracy. Responsibilities include measuring in linear feet, verifying product counts, labeling, building pallets, and delivering completed loads to designated areas. The ideal candidate should be familiar with lumber and millwork products, able to lift heavy loads repeatedly, and work closely with the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Schedule 

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Some overtime and occasional Saturday work expected)

Pay 

$18.50/hr.

Additional earning potential through order pulling bonus (up to 50%. on top of the hourly rate) *

Essential Responsibilities

  • Scan locations and pull products using an RF Scanner to fulfill customer orders safely and effectively.
  • Ensures all units are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport.
  • Communicate any discrepancies, product issues, or safety issues with the Supervisor.
  • Place the completed and labeled order into the designated area once the order is fulfilled.
  • Maintains a clean work area, sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, etc.

Successfully passes all Novo tugger training and operates a tugger following all safety requirements established within Novo

 

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • Effectively performs all essential functions, including physical requirements.
  • Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company-approved tools while remaining aware of hazards. and maintaining a safe work environment Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights.
  • Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience driving industrial-powered equipment.
  • High School Diploma and GED

  • No travel requirements.
