Job description

Principal Product Manager, Smart Home Security – Systems Integration

Join AT&T and help shape the future of communications and technology that connect the world. We value innovators who seek to explore the unknown and challenge the status quo. Bring your bold ideas and fearless spirit to redefine connectivity and transform how people share stories and experiences. At AT&T, you won’t just imagine the future—you’ll build it.

Role Summary

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager for Systems Integration to own how the core smart home security product connects into AT&T’s ecosystem: sales, ordering, billing, provisioning/fulfilment, authentication, and care/support systems.

This role is responsible for making sure the product actually “works in the real world” inside AT&T—customers can buy it easily, get it provisioned correctly, see it on their bill, manage it in their accounts, and get effective support. You will stitch together front-end experiences, backend services, and legacy systems so the product feels seamless to customers and to internal teams.

This role is focused on the end‑to‑end technical integration of the smart home security product itself.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the product’s integration architecture, including end‑to‑end system maps, data flows, and dependencies.

  • Translate customer journeys (buy to install to bill to support) into clear technical requirements and specs for engineering teams.

  • Act as the primary technical partner for cross‑functional teams including Sales, Billing, Fulfillment, and Care.

  • Ensure integrations are production‑ready by partnering with engineering and operations and tracking key technical performance metrics.

  • Lead integration impact assessments and end‑to‑end testing for new features, bundles, promotions, and entitlement changes.

  • Collaborate with platform and backend teams to ensure proper use of APIs, events, and system capabilities, while clearly defining product‑specific integration needs.

Ideal Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years in technical product management, solution architecture, or systems integration, ideally within telecom, subscription services, or other complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong understanding of ordering and sales flows (digital and assisted), billing and rating concepts (products, plans, discounts, taxes/fees), provisioning/fulfillment processes and service activation, and care/support tooling and workflows.

  • Strong B2C, E-commerce experience is preferred. Customer focus.

  • Ability to read and discuss API specifications, sequence diagrams, system architecture diagrams, data models, and mapping tables (such as SKUs, service codes, and entitlements).

  • Experience leading cross‑system integration projects that involve multiple organizations and legacy platforms.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to act as a “translator” between business, product, and highly technical teams.

  • Strong problem‑solving abilities, especially when debugging issues across multiple systems (e.g., orders created but not billed, or devices not provisioned).

Success in 12 Months Looks Like
  • The smart home security product:

    • Can be sold and provisioned reliably across all targeted channels.

    • Appears on customer accounts and bills accurately and consistently.

    • Has low order fallout and provisioning failure rates.

    • Has care flows and tools that allow agents to diagnose and resolve product issues quickly.

  • There is a clear, maintained integration architecture and set of specs that all teams reference.

  • Launches and major changes are executed with minimal surprises and fewer integration‑related escalations.

  • The role is recognized across teams as the go‑to technical owner for “how this product fits into AT&T’s systems.”

Ready to join our team? Apply today.

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Weekly Hours: 40

Time Type: Regular

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary Range: $158,200.00 - $237,400.00
