Job description

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing reception and hospitality activities at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park in a variety of areas within the Golf Pro Shop. Primary responsibilities include but not limited to providing excellent customer service as well as food/beverage service, reception, making reservations, money collection, cleaning and inspection.

Essential Functions

Provides the highest level of customer service to all guests by responding appropriately to their inquiries and addressing issues in a timely manner.

Performs a public relations role in the park by welcoming visitors and answering questions about amenities, golf programs, park rules and nearby points of interest.

Maintains an awareness of all park policies, procedures, cart etiquette, practices, and staff contacts assuring for thoroughness and accuracy.

Complete opening and closing duties within the Pro Shop and perform all associated duties.

Balances a cash drawer and prepares a deposit at the end of a shift.

Receives, prices and stocks various retail items while keeping inventory.

Assists with all aspects of operating a Pro Shop including the driving range, cart storage, food/beverage services, and more.

Provides light custodial cleaning duties inside the Pro Shop, food/beverage area, and cart storage.

Complete registrations for tee times in the Pro Shop software and POS system.

Makes sure golf carts are in working order and clean, and that tires and batteries are fully charged.

Drives the range ball picker to collect range balls from the range.

Serves food and beverages to customers out of the pro-shop. Performs minor food preparation using standard formulas or following directions.

Minimum Qualifications

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Successfully complete online State of Missouri Alcohol Training (SMART).

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or G.E.D.; three to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in customer service preferred.

Duties may be in office setting with a controlled environment, however, they are generally performed in both indoors and outdoors. Some driving required as needed within the Park. Working hours are generally normal weekday hours with night and weekend work required.
