Job description

Do you want to work on the front lines of deploying autonomous building systems and enabling smart cities? Do you thrive in the details and complex coordination necessary for technical projects within the buildings and HVAC space?
PassiveLogic is looking for a dedicated Autonomous Buildings Project Manager ready to drive the successful deployment of our cutting-edge autonomous building solutions in partner buildings in Europe.
About PassiveLogic®
PassiveLogic is the first fully autonomous platform for buildings. We've reinvented the fundamental principles of automation to democratize technology, optimize buildings, and reduce the world's carbon footprint. We are a team of technologists, engineers, and creatives dedicated to making a sustainable impact through real-world solutions.
We are looking for team members who have a passion for technology and who want to work on cutting-edge problems with real-world solutions. Our culture is built on bringing together the most talented engineers, thinkers, and creatives-backed by the world's leading investors-working together to make the future a reality.
About the Role
This is a career-defining opportunity to play a crucial role in a hyper-scale AI company that is transforming the future of autonomous systems, energy, and the built environment.
As an Autonomous Buildings Project Manager, you will be responsible for project planning, coordination, and execution of PassiveLogic's technology to our partners and their portfolio sites across the EU. You will work closely with our corporate partners, installation contractors, end-users, and other key players to ensure seamless implementation of PassiveLogic technology.
In this role, you have an extraordinary opportunity to be the moving force in establishing smart cities, starting with the EU. This work is not for the faint of heart, but for individuals who want to engage and create real impact in transforming urban environments and implementing global sustainability. Be prepared to work, to engage, to travel for deployments, to work across continents and timezones...all with tremendous payoff for your career and the future sustainability of our urban environments.
Please tell us why you're passionate about doing so in your cover letter!
What you'll do
Oversee building controls integration and coordination: Work alongside peer construction managers, managing on-site project execution and ensuring alignment with design specifications.
Manage sales application support and engineering: Work closely with end-users, VARs, MSIs, and installation contractors to support project take-off and engineering processes.
Act as a key feedback loop: Collaborate with external partners and our internal team to relay crucial insights to PassiveLogic's leadership that improve product performance and deployment strategies.
Ensure seamless project execution: Manage job timelines, coordinate site activities, and proactively address challenges to maintain project efficiency.
What you'll bring
If your experience does not meet all our posted requirements below, we'd still love to hear from you. We are looking for practitioners who are passionate about understanding people, committed to lifelong learning, and driven by the love of what they do. If that's you, please apply!
You must have
  • Proven experience:
    • 5+ years in commissioning/technology deployments/EU construction project management (specifically in the buildings industry, commercial real estate or HVAC), automation, robotics, mechatronics, or related fields.
    • Advanced understanding and knowledge of building controls systems.
    • Sales technical support experience-familiarity with assisting partners and clients in project planning, engineering, and execution.
  • Exceptional communication skills: Extraordinary teammate skills with a collaborative, interpersonal communication style.
  • Organized and strategic: Strong technical and project coordination skills with an ability to oversee all phases of project implementation while troubleshooting technical challenges.
  • Collaborative mindset: Ability to work across teams, coordinate with contractors, and maintain strong relationships with channel partners. Strong self-motivation towards PassiveLogic's mission to "empower people through generative autonomy to solve the world's largest climate challenges."
  • Adaptability:
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, eager to learn, iterate, and innovate.
  • Problem solving: You own this role. When issues arise, be the empowered force that solves them, rolling-up.

You should have
  • Familiarity with AI-driven control platforms, smart building technology, or automation industry standards.
  • Experience with smart building technologies, automation systems, or IoT-based solutions.
  • Knowledge of construction workflows, installation processes, and industry best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to act as a bridge between technical teams and external partners.

It's helpful to have
  • Familiarity with AI-driven control platforms, smart building technology, or automation industry standards.
  • Understanding of energy-efficient construction and sustainability initiatives.

We know there are candidates who might not fit everything we've described above, or who might have experience and skills we haven't considered. PassiveLogic can sometimes be flexible enough to shift responsibilities to the right person, or otherwise identify open or upcoming roles that may better fit your professional background. Even if you don't meet all the requirements above, we still want to hear from you.
