Job description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Nuclear Science and Engineering Department, to develop a small modular reactor based on unique supply chain infrastructure; focus on modeling and rapid design prototyping; Analyze designs under transient control scenarios; and work in close collaboration with faculty in the Nuclear Science and Engineering department. The primary duties (80%) include carrying out research to support the design of a small modular reactor, based on a unique supply chain infrastructure and (20%) performing various research administration tasks, i.e., attending research update meetings, assembling project reports and producing academic publications, and other duties as needed. This position will include minimal decision making and independent judgment and will be overseen by faculty within the Nuclear Science and Engineering Department.
