What will your job look like?:

The QA Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day vehicle maintenance operations for said shift or as required. The QA Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor will perform compliance and quality inspections on vehicles and facilities in accordance with company and contract requirements by overseeing all vehicle maintenance needs, as well as the Maintenance Technician team. The QA Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor will review daily operators pre-trip and post trip reports, including the close out technicians work orders. Supervisor may be required to assist with minor vehicle repairs as needed.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Schedule: 2nd Shift : 3:30pm - 12:00am (Midnight)

Must have flexibility for any shift.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure OSHA, DOT, ADA, EPA, State, Federal and Contract Compliance are performed and adhered to

  • Plan and assign and prioritize workloads based on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and daily requirements

  • Coordinate daily work assignments for a small team of vehicle maintenance technicians, ensuring vehicle readiness, compliance and quality repairs are achieved

  • Provide accurate and complete daily status report of all vehicles, road calls, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance

  • Ensure all stakeholders are informed of vehicle status

  • Perform 10% re-racks per week on vehicles that have been scheduled for preventative maintenance.

  • Ensure the Shop cleanliness is maintained at all times, including trash

  • Communicate a safety first culture with all employees

  • Meet monthly minimal KPI goals for location specific miles between road calls by performing predictive and campaign maintenance and ensuring the technicians are performing quality and quantity of workmanship

  • Ensure all MTM and specific training for Safety, OSHA, and Technical Trainings are performed within the scheduled time frame

  • Perform vehicle preventive maintenance and repairs as needed

  • Review and assign DVIR's (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) daily to technicians

  • Responsible for the quality of all areas of repairs through on the spot corrections and required post repair work inspections

  • Coordinate with operations and prioritize the available fleet to meet customer demands

  • Assign, track, update the status of all work orders to ensure data and parts usage is correct prior to closing in asset works or applicable client EAM system.

  • Monitor employee and fleet performance metrics in accordance with the contractual requirements and administer disciplinary actions as required.

  • Assist the facilities Department as required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned or required

What you'll need

Experience, Education & Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 4+ years automotive mechanical experience

  • 4+ years' experience with gasoline and diesel engine repairs

  • Prior supervision of employees in the maintenance field

  • Must maintain a valid state applicable driver's license

  • Will be required to drive a company vehicle (failure to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background screen may result in termination of employment)

  • Must pass a DOT Physical annually

Skills:

  • Experience using hand and power tools

  • Provide own tools to include diagnostic and specialty tools as required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good organizational skills with attention to timeliness and details

  • Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly

  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures

  • Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair course as may be required

  • Willing to adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Regular attendance is required
