Responsibilities
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical school preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude.

Must be able to speak, read, write and comprehend English.
Mathematical Skills:
Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply & divide).
Must be able to read a tape measure or rule in both standard & metric.
Position Summary:
Repairs machinery or mechanical equipment. Work involves:
Examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble.
Dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs and/or cleaning that involves
the use of hand tools.
Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.
Working with machine shop to procure a replacement part or sending the machine/part to a
machine shop for repairs.
Perform Preventive Maintenance activities as required.
Reassembling machines and making necessary adjustments for proper operation.
Work extended shifts as required by facility needs
Participate in the on-call rotation after a 90-day onboarding period
Provide coverage for A, B, C, and D shifts as needed to support vacations, vacancies, or staffing gaps
Position Responsibilities:
The use and enforcement of the use of appropriate PPE.
Responsible for knowing, following and ensuring that SWP's are complied with.
Skills:
Must have strong mechanical ability.
Must have the ability to use an assortment of hand tools.
Must have the ability to dismantle and reassemble extrusion line equipment including but not limited to extruders, winders, grinders, dies, etc.
Qualification Requirements:
Have an excellent attendance record.
Have an excellent safety record.
Familiar with best practice safety procedures.
Completion of assigned ISO training.
Good written and oral communications skills.
Have a fork truck operations license.
Physical Demands:
May work a 12 hour work day.
Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending and reaching.
Requires pushing and pulling rolls, carts and hoists.
Requires lifting up to 55 pounds.
Requires ascending and descending ladders throughout the work day.
