Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Marine Technicians at OneWater Marine are responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on a variety of watercrafts in an accurate and timely manner. As a marine technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all boats and marine equipment are in excellent working condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties (Most Important to Least Important)

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and upgrades on a variety of boats in a timely, competent, and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.

Coordinate with other departments, such as parts & service, to ensure all customer concerns are prioritized and addressed in an appropriate manner.

Accurately document all service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and other important details. Ensure customers are provided with appropriate documentation regarding services performed on their boat.

Ensure all boats are being handled with care before, during, and after service has been performed.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ensure all safety protocols are being followed when performing work to promote a safe working environment.

Attend applicable service schools to maintain certification and continuous educational requirements. Stay updated on trends, tools and technologies related to work.

Assist with special work events as needed, i.e., boat shows.

All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a marine technician or similar role preferred
  • Marine Technician certification(s) is a plus. Manufacturer certification (Boat or Engine)
  • Current & valid driver’s license
  • Solid understanding of marine systems, marine tools and diagnostic equipment preferred
